Tho' the author of the ensuing translation is not so vain,
as to imagine it will be any reparation to the publick for
the loss of the ingenious Mr. Adams's paraphrase upon the
whole song, yet by inserting it in your paper, you may give
some entertainment to several of your customers; as you will
some encouragement to go on his design, to your humble
servant, Philo-Muses.
